After I left work I drove to Assateague. I wasn't sure if I'd make it all the way there so I didn't make a reservation. I knew there would be sites on a Sunday night in May in the State Park. The Oceanside sites in the Nat'l Park, which I would have preferred, were all showing full. As I drove I was appalled at the handling of my new tires. They were fantastic at low speeds but at 60 the ride became frightening. I was glad I brought the compressor as I thought the 65lbs PSI they put in was too low.
Good to know for when I have extra cannons.

The sunset was incredible and that was a good thing, because I was plunged into such a funk that I didn't know which way was up. I felt lost and alone. I didn't expect to feel that way at all, but I guess more of my identity was still bound up in my title than I realized. I sure was glad I was in a beautiful place, that made it a little easier to bear.
